We lost a member of our work family this past Friday (1/5) unexpectedly. Carey Karvonen was one of our GCISD Kindergarten teachers. She was a petite ray of light --- from her full-smile greetings and teacher shirts to her amazing collection of fun shoes -- she was a friend to everyone she met. Carey was someone who lived with Turner Syndrome, which is why we have created this small fundraiser to show support to her surviving family, others who live with TS, and as a way to honor her one last time.
